Our first breakout experience was both fun and entertaining. It really required us to think, but we were able to put our heads together to solve the clues. It also required us to work as a group instead of working individually. I helped solve clues, used common sense, and helped open the locks. Yes, Because I had evidence to back up my ideas. First we had to find clues which were around the classroom to begin. After that we had to figure out what the clues meant and what lock they correspond to. The first lock which I figured out was the easiest because it had compass directions on it which could only mean one thing it corresponded with the directional lock. The next obstacle was the lock box which we solved by figuring out a color pattern which corresponded to strings on the wall and the stings had knots on them so we used the color pattern counted the knots and the box was open. In the box there was a UV light which revealed a clue one on the paper that said breakout. Then we found another clue on the wall which was Morse code which corresponded to the letter lock. Then there was only two locks left and we had 15 minutes remaining. At last we were at the final lock with only 7 minutes left on the clock. Finally, we broke out with two minutes to spare I think it's safe to say our first breakout was a success.
The third week was the busiest and most fun week. We installed an Apple TV in the little theater which took a while because we had to figure everything out. Once that was done, we started working on iPads. The iPads were all configured because of Ron we just had to get them in the right carts. But before that we had to finish the last of the chrome carts and get them shipped out. Once we got those shipped out we worked on the iPads for the rest of the class. Then the next day the class got the apple TV in the weight room set up while I helped a teacher with her computer. Then we needed to figure out how to get the document cameras plugged into the TV's which Mr. Nunes showed us. So once he taught us we went to test it out on Mrs. Reed's computer and it worked watch this video to see how happy she was here. Help desk will always be there when you need them.
In the second week of help desk, we did a lot more work. We mostly worked on the Chromebooks because we had to get them shipped out to the departments. Working side by side Ron and Matt we got the Chromebooks set up in their carts and shipped them out to each department one by one. Then we encountered a problem with the label maker we needed to label the carts wasn't working but anything we tried didn't work. Then Rom solved the problem go the carts labeled and we shipped them out to each department. Every time we dropped one off we told them that the department is responsible for them if they break or lose any of them. Now the next step was iPad and getting the document cameras plugged into the TV's.
Help desk is my favorite class because it is both relaxing and fun. The first week was mostly getting transitioned into class and learning all the rules. Once we got transitioned in we went to finish the last of the apple TV's. We also helped teachers with their computer problems. Once all teachers we're happy we began helping Ron set up ipads and chrome books.
